The 2025-2026 period-4 meeting of NLP@U will be hosted by the University medical center in Utrecht on June 25th. Information about speakers and their planned topics is soon to follow.

Our meeting meeting on 07.05 brought together NLP researchers from across borders and oceans. Walter Daelemans, Ine Gevers, and Verna Dankers told us about LLMs as statistical chameleons🦎, abductive reasoning in LLMs, and tiered language models, respectively. As ever, we were delighted to see both familiar and new faces and to reconnect over research!

The international conference on language generation, INLG 2026, is coming to Utrecht 17 to 21th of October. Endorsed by SIGGEN, the conference will be hosted by Utrecht University.
